Life in Upstate New York
As you consider your accounting and management consulting career at Bonadio, you may have questions about life in upstate New York. Here’s a best kept secret: upstate New York is one of the finest places in the country to work, live, relax and raise a family!
We have: great cultural institutions, wonderful nightlife spots, world renown universities, incredibly affordable housing and a low cost of living, major and minor league sports teams, 20 minute commutes, international airports, a couple of really big lakes and a whole bunch of smaller ones, and a 524 mile long canal whose length is dotted by the most picturesque and quaint villages anywhere in the world.
We don’t have: volcanoes, earthquakes, drought, mudslides, wildfires, tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, 100% humidity, traffic congestion, and outrageously priced homes and apartments.
So, it snows a little bit and it gets cold in the winter. Big deal. There’s snowboarding, skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, and a whole lot more to do! And, when it’s 105 degrees and sweltering elsewhere, we’re enjoying 80 degree, sunny days!
