Background & Experience

Part of The Bonadio Group since 1988 when he graduated from college, Scott is now a Partner on our Commercial Team, and the Partner in charge of the firm’s Audit Committee. During his tenure, Scott rose through the ranks to become one of TBG’s youngest partners, and concurrently, one of the most respected CPAs in Upstate New York serving the construction, real estate development, and manufacturing industries. Scott is also a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP).

Primarily serving mid-market privately held companies, Scott provides a wide range of services to his clients, including tax planning, business reorganization, debt placement, cash flow management and cost accounting. However, he has achieved success as a result of his ability to move well beyond the traditional role of auditor. As his clients will tell you, he is perhaps the best embodiment of the firm’s & More philosophy, as he sees his responsibility as an advisor and partner working together to make the client as profitable as possible. Often, this means organizing the resources of TBG on behalf of his clients to ensure that their assets will both grow and be protected.

Scott is also an active participant in the firm’s professional and personal development program, teaching both technical and management development courses.

On the Personal Side

Scott is often described as decisive with a great business mind. He challenges himself every day to do something unique and different for his clients.

He has three young children, Joshua, Adam and Alexis; (Alexis was adopted from Russia!) and enjoys waterskiing, swimming, snorkeling and boating.

Scott also shows his motivational skills as manager of the Bonadio co-ed softball team.
