The TBG Fraud and Abuse Hotline
A recent study by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) concluded that fraud in the workplace results in losses of approximately $600 billion per year. That amounts to about $4,500 per employee, on average. All companies, non-profit organizations, and local governments, regardless of size, benefit from a service designed to help monitor and control fraud and abuse.
The TBG Fraud and Abuse Hotline is the best strategy for early detection.
How does it Work?
The Hotline consists of a toll-free number which employees can call to anonymously report accounting or other fraud and abuse. Trained and experienced professionals respond to the employee calls, evaluate the claims, and issue a report summarizing the complaint.
- Employers pay an annual membership fee based on the number of employees.
- Next, we work with you to determine the best way to introduce and sustain this program with your employees (meetings, letters, break room posters, etc.)
- Employees are then given a letter of introduction and a business card with a toll free number to call to report any suspicions of fraud and abuse.
- A certified Fraud Examiner answers all calls between 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. After hours, a confidential voice mail system is in place. Employees are guaranteed confidentiality and will not be asked to identify themselves. Our voice mail system does not have caller ID enabled and no effort will be made to identify their name or telephone number.
The information provided will be summarized and delivered to a member of senior management along with a preliminary assessment of the complaint. Following the delivery of our report, we are available to provide consultation and/or investigate the allegation (for an additional fee).
