Michael Smith, CPA, CFE

Mike is a Partner with the Group and a member of TBG's Forensic Accounting Team. Prior to joining The Bonadio Group, he was a Principal of Dorfman-Robbie, CPAs, P.C., which merged with TBG in 2008. 

Mike provides business, accounting and auditing services for a variety of clients such as New York State agencies, construction contractors, auto dealerships, and manufacturers. As a result of this work, Mike has developed extensive experience with respect to compliance and reporting requirements for these industries, as well as the evaluation and design of internal accounting systems.

In addition to being a CPA, Mike is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He works in the firm's fraud prevention and investigation services, as well as its fraud hotline service (TBG Fraud & Abuse Hotline). As a CFE, Mike has provided fraud prevention and investigation services to more than 100 organizations.

Mike is a graduate of Siena College with a Bachelor in Business Administration Degree in Accounting. His professional memberships include the New York State Society of CPAs and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
