Ariel Ammirato CPA - Principal
Ariel is a principal in the firm's Healthcare/Tax-Exempt division. Her experience includes planning, supervising and performance of audits for healthcare and tax-exempt organizations, as well as related consulting engagements. Over her career, she has provided services to more than 50 organizations including a variety of OPWDD, OASAS, and OMH funded entities, private schools, nursing homes, home health care agencies, Foundations, and other non-profit entities.
Ariel has extensive experience performing audits of organizations serving individuals with developmental disabilities, including several ARC Chapters. Over the course of the past ten years, Ariel has also developed a specialty in preparing and reviewing IRS Form 990s and NYS Consolidated Fiscal Reports for her tax-exempt clients. In addition, she has vast knowledge and experience in performing audits in accordance with Government Auditing Standards (Single Audits) and she participates in our internal single audit committee, which focuses on properly educating all employees on how to adequately plan and perform a single audit. Ariel is also a member of our Bonadio University Council. The main focus of the Council is to provide guidance on the learning and development needs of the firm. Ariel enjoys training staff on variety of topics and has taught several internal continuing professional education courses throughout her career.
Ariel received her B.B.A Degree in Accounting from Siena College.
Currently, Ariel serves as the Board Treasurer for the Capital Region CANstruction, which is a design/build competition that gathers canned food donations for community food banks.
