Background & Expertise


Gail is a partner in our Syracuse office. She joined the firm on January 1, 2015 when Testone, Marshall & Discenza, LLP merged into The Bonadio Group. Gail has extensive experience helping organizations navigate the challenging landscape of financial reporting, strategy and succession in an ever-changing business and regulatory environment She specializes in providing auditing, accounting and consulting services to not-for-profit organizations, municipalities, Employee Benefit Plans, and closely held entities.

Gail is active in the community, serving on the Upstate Medical University Foundation Board of Directors. Gail is past chair of the United Way of Central New York and Hospice of Central New York, past President of New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and has served NYSSCPA in a variety of roles including Quality Enhancement Policy Committee, Syracuse Chapter President and Executive Committee and President of the Foundation for Accounting Education.  Gail also served as Chair of the Accounting and Auditing Committee of CPAmerica International, Trustee of the Onondaga County Public Library and Director of Beacon Federal, Beacon Federal Bancorp., Inc.  A graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse, she is the recipient of the 2012 Women of Distinction Award from the Girl Scouts of NYPenn Pathways, American Red Cross Women Who Mean Business Award, Central New York Women in Business Award, CBS TV-5 Women in Leadership Award, The President's Volunteer Service Award, Central New York 40 under Forty Award, and the Junior League's In League and Community Service Award.

Gail has lectured widely and written for a number of publications. Her column on accounting matters appears monthly in the Central New York Business Journal

Gail is a graduate of Le Moyne College. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
