Michael Budzich is a founding member, Partner and Director of Gemko Information Group, LLC headquartered in Amherst, New York, since 1990. Gemko is an I.T. and Business consulting firm that grew out of an accounting firm. Michael has been responsible for continuing to grow Gemko’s solution offering with the purpose of staying relevant with the technologies and business needs of today. As Director of Gemko’s Data Management practice, his team is dedicated to partnering with clients as a one-stop for holistic Data Management consulting and solution creation to achieve business transformation. Mike performs the role of solution architect for advising clients on Transacting, Storing, Protecting, Recovering and Analyzing data.

Michael has over 25 years of I.T. and business consulting, as a CIO and trusted advisor to numerous client companies in various industries. Over his career he has gained experience in Business Operations including profit and loss responsibility, Project Management, Application Development, ERP, CRM, Data Analytics, Business Continuity (Backup/Recovery) as well as emerging technologies mobile and cloud. Mike's core strength is his ability to understand and bridge business and technology together to enable organizations to achieve operational excellence, competitive advantage and bottom-line results.

Michael served on the Board of Directors for infotech Niagara and Western New York's MUG organization. Mike has a history of being a guest speaker at events, most recently for the UB School of Management students. Mike stays active in working with the UB School of Management by providing special assignment for interns and as a coach for the Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition (2012, 2013, 2014).

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Medaille College located in Buffalo New York. As someone who is committed to continuous learning, Michael has graduated from the University of Buffalo’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Core and Advanced programs and the Harvard Business School Club of Buffalo Management Program and Healthcare Management Program. He also holds multiple technical certifications.
