Over 560 Bonadio Group Employees Participate In Annual “Purpose Day” Community Service Event

The Firmwide Event Benefits More Than 25 Non-Profit Organizations Across New York State and Beyond

Rochester, N.Y., August 5, 2022 —Over 560 employees at The Bonadio Group participated in community service activities today during the firm’s fifth annual Purpose Day, benefitting more than 25 non-profit organizations. Purpose Day was created to encourage all staff to seek opportunities to give back to their communities in the spirit of the company’s Bonadio Purpose. All of the firm’s office were closed to provide each employee with the opportunity to spend the day volunteering.

This year’s Purpose Day is event was themed “To Be Giving,” building upon the firm’s To Be Greater (TBG) campaign, which launched in June and plays upon the company’s abbreviated name. The campaign represents Bonadio’s commitment to an unparalleled employee experience and a continued investment in their people.

“One of the most important things to our employees, both current and prospective, is working for a company that values giving back,” said Zicari. “It’s critical for us to provide our people with opportunities to support organizations in our communities that are working to make a difference.”

Benefitting organizations included:

  • Albany: North Rivers Family Services, Rensselaer County Chapter NYSARC Inc., St. Catherine’s Center for Children, Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless, Schenectady Community Ministries
  • Buffalo: Niagara County SPCA, Danny’s Helping Hands, Community Services for Every1, Artpark
  • New York City: VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, River Fund Inc.
  • Rochester: Heritage Christian Services, Foodlink, Lollypop Farm, Seneca Park Zoo
  • Syracuse: PEACE Inc., Liberty Resources, Utica Zoo

Volunteerism at the various organizations spanned from weeding and mulching community gardens to performing mock interviews and offering career guidance.
