The Bonadio Group, one of New York State’s largest independent providers of accounting, tax, and consulting services marks a milestone in its history with the celebration of its 40th anniversary. The anniversary year culminates in a company-wide 40th anniversary gala for employees on Friday, December 14 at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Founded in 1978, the firm now is in 10 markets including Dallas and New York City. Frequently named to many best places to work lists, the company is among an elite group of companies recognized for women in leadership positions by the 2018 Accounting MOVE Project.

“This 40th anniversary milestone reflects the dedication and professionalism of our entire team, along with their trust and commitment to our culture,” said Tom Bonadio, CEO of The Bonadio Group. “Our employees demonstrate a client-focused approach in an ever-evolving, increasingly competitive industry. It is a great source of pride for me to reach four decades of service in the communities we serve and have the opportunity to share this with our team members.”

As The Bonadio Group reflects back on 2018 and prepares to welcome the New Year, the firm’s headcount continues to climb, with 785 employees. In addition, the firm will reach $120 million in revenue this year. Bruce Zicari takes on the role of CEO in May 2019, following the culmination of a three-year transition plan. Tom Bonadio will remain with the firm as a senior counsel, helping the firm grow and meet its new strategic plan.

The Bonadio Group’s strong culture and personalized approach is a popular draw for employees and clients alike. Among the many benefits and perks offered by the firm, employees receive unlimited paid time off and are encouraged to take time away from work to serve on boards and volunteer in their communities. The firm is growing across the U.S., recently opening a Dallas office, expanding its New York City office this year, and forging a partnership with High Probability Advisors for a data-driven, “moneyball” approach to wealth management.
