The Bonadio Group Holds 9th Annual Purpose Day

The firm-wide day of service will benefit more than 50 community organizations across the firm’s footprint 

ROCHESTER, N.Y., August 6, 2026 – The Bonadio Group, a nationally ranked IPA Top 50 CPA firm, will close on August 7 as more than 1,100 employees volunteer with more than 50 nonprofit organizations across the regions where they live and work as part of the firm’s 9th Annual Purpose Day.

Held each August, Purpose Day is a firm-wide day of service that reflects The Bonadio Group’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the communities it serves. This year’s volunteer activities include landscaping and gardening, painting and maintenance projects, indoor clean-up, meal preparation and food distribution, organizing donated items, and engaging with residents at assisted living and community organizations.

The Bonadio Group will volunteer at the following organizations:

  • Capital Region: Rutland Community Cupboard; St. Catherine’s Center for Children; Living Resources; Warren, Washington, Albany Counties ARC; Catholic Charities – Albany; Regional Food Bank; Heritage Home for Women; Mohawk Hudson Humane Society; and Letters Against Isolation
  • Central New York Region: On Point for College; Ronald McDonald House; Rosamond Gifford Zoo; McHarrie Pointe Assisted Living; Sarah’s Guest House; PEACE; and Community Wellness Partners
  • Dallas: Meals on Wheels; Good Samaritans of Garland
  • Mid-Atlantic Region: Sunday Breakfast Mission
  • New York City: Children of Bellevue
  • Rochester: Miss Julie’s School of Beauty; Big Brothers Big Sisters; White Haven Memorial Parks; Charles Settlement House affiliated with Community Place of Greater Rochester; Community Place of Greater Rochester; Friendship Children’s Center; Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester; Habitat for Humanity; Farmington Safe Haven (Eagle Star Housing); The Center for Youth; Renaissance Academy Charter School; Ronald McDonald House; Foodlink Farm; Holy Childhood; Lifetime Assistance; St. Ann’s Community; Veterans Outreach Center; Heritage Christian Services; St. John’s; St. Joseph’s Neighborhood; The Friendly Home
  • Western New York Region: Danny’s Helping Hands; Ten Lives Club; The ARC Erie County; Black Water Acres – The ARC Erie County; Kenan Center; United Way; St. Luke’s Church; Lothlorien Therapeutic Riding Center; FeedMore WNY; Reinstein Woods; FISH of East Aurora; Fully remote employees can choose to make a monetary donation to Best Friends Animal Society, donate blood or volunteer at a non-profit of their choosing.
