John G Roman

Chief Information Officer

John is the CIO of The Bonadio Group. He is responsible for the firm’s strategic technology direction, enterprise-wide adoption of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and championing the use of technologies to support Bonadio employees and clients.  Mr. Roman has spent over 40 years in information technology, including 20 years in the legal and accounting industries. As a member of the firm’s senior leadership team, he assists in advancing the digital modernization of traditional processes. He is a published writer, featured speaker, and press advisor on information security, artificial intelligence, and technology trends.

 

A native of Rochester, NY, John’s activities outside the office include serving on the board of directors of Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Rochester and on the accounting firm advisory boards for Intapp and Wolters Kluwer. He previously served as an adjunct professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology and Monroe Community College. He and his wife have two grown children and a grandson.  He enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, the New York Yankees, the Buffalo Bills, and physical fitness. One of John’s favorite memories and something he now looks forward to working at The Bonadio Group was his first “Purpose Day,” the company’s annual day of service.
