March 2020 to March 2021 was a most unusual time. Like every other industry, credit unions’ attention was directed away from both pre-COVID-19 day-to-day operations and long-term strategic plans. Response to the emergency, focus on health and safety, and emphasis on member service in unusual circumstances drove activities for much of the last year.
Now is the time to reset our thinking on where we go from here. Understanding that COVID-19 is not “over,” but looking forward to what comes next, is important. It’s not about defining a new normal, but it’s also not about getting back to how it was before.
To that end, we have identified the top ten topics that credit unions should consider as we move through 2021 in a document available for download below: Resetting Your Credit Union After a Disrupted Year. These topics are familiar; there shouldn’t be any surprises here. Each topic is presented with three questions that we believe can help start your discussion and frame your go-forward position.
Please feel free to reach out to a member of Bonadio’s Credit Union Team if you’d like to have a more in-depth discussion about these or any other topics.
