Dallas-Based CPA Firm Howard, LLP to Join The Bonadio Group

Deal will expand The Bonadio Group’s presence in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex

October 4, 2023 — The Bonadio Group, a nationally ranked Top 50 CPA firm and the largest independent provider of professional services in Upstate New York, strengthens its commitment to the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex with today’s announcement that it will join with Howard, LLP. This will become official on November 1, 2023, when all 85 employees of the Dallas-based CPA firm will join The Bonadio Group and Howard, LLP, will begin to operate under The Bonadio Group name.

Based on increased client needs and the potential for growth in the robust regional business environment, The Bonadio Group opened its Dallas office in October 2018. Combining with Howard represents a continuation of The Bonadio Group’s ongoing growth strategy, which includes the expansion of both capabilities and footprint.

Tim Pike, chief executive officer of Howard, LLP, will serve as The Bonadio Group’s Dallas Regional Managing Partner and a member of the firm’s board, effective November 1. Tim joined Howard, LLP, in 2004 and has served as chief executive officer since 2021.

Jeff Wexler, current Dallas Regional Managing Partner, helped open the Dallas office in 2018 and has been integral to the success and expansion of the firm throughout the region. As Jeff transitions the Regional Managing Partner role to Tim, he will refocus his efforts on business development and client service to support continued strategic growth in Texas.

Howard, which was founded in 1973, provides a depth of experience in tax and compliance services including business, individual, estate, and franchise tax planning.
