The firm is once again recognized for its commitment to diversity and belonging by the Accounting MOVE Project
ROCHESTER, N.Y., November 3, 2025 – The Bonadio Group, a nationally ranked Top 40 CPA firm, has been named a 2025 Best CPA Firm for Women and a Best CPA Firm for Equity Leadership by the Accounting MOVE Project. This marks the firm’s 14th consecutive year as a Best CPA Firm for Women and 10th year as a Best CPA Firm for Equity Leadership. Both honors are bestowed by the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance.
The Best CPA Firm for Women list recognizes firms that have both a proportionate number of women at most or all levels of management and proven success with the MOVE factors: Money, Opportunity, Vital Supports and Entrepreneurship. Meanwhile, the Best CPA Firms for Equity Leadership list recognizes firms with at least 31% women partners and principals. The Bonadio Group currently boasts 38% female leadership.
“Diversity and belonging are a vital part of our mission To Be Greater, and we remain steadfast in our efforts to elevate female leaders across all areas of our firm,” said Bruce Zicari, Managing Partner and CEO of The Bonadio Group. “We’re proud to once again be recognized by the Accounting MOVE Project, which is a reflection of our commitment to these efforts.”
Along with the two annual lists, the Accounting MOVE Project also published its 2025 report titled The Cost of Losing Talent which examined why belonging is essential for firm resilience and growth.
“Belonging isn’t a soft concept; it’s a hard-edged business imperative,” said Bonnie Buol Ruszczyk, president of the Accounting MOVE Project. “Firms that step back from this work aren’t avoiding controversy; they’re choosing to shrink their talent pool and limit their own growth potential. The research is clear: in a profession built on trust, collaboration, and expertise, people perform their best, and stay the longest, where they feel they truly belong.”
These recognitions from the Accounting MOVE Project add to a growing list of accolades The Bonadio Group has earned this year including being named #40 on INSIDE Public Accounting’s 2025 list of the Top 100 CPA Firms and #41 on Accounting Today’s 2025 Top 100 Firms list. The Bonadio Group was also recently recognized as one of the 2025 Best Workplaces in New York by Fortune.

About the Accounting MOVE Project
Since 2010, the Accounting MOVE Project has measured and supported the advancement of
women at accounting and consulting firms. MOVE is the only annual benchmarking project
that both counts and advocates for women in the profession. The MOVE Project advisory board includes leaders from association partner the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance and founding sponsor Moss Adams X Baker Tilly. MOVE is made possible by support from its sponsors and by administrative fees paid by participating firms who choose to receive a firm-specific, confidential scorecard. The Accounting MOVE Project is the basis for two recognitions of excellence for women in the accounting and advisory profession: Best CPA Firms for Women and Best CPA Firms for Equity Leadership.
