John is a Senior Counsel with over 40 years of experience working with businesses and non-profit organizations. His expertise is primarily with closely held companies in tax planning, business succession planning, and various business and financial matters. He serves clients mainly in medical practices, real estate, manufacturing, construction, and distribution businesses. John was a founding member of Testone, Marshall & Discenza, CPAs, which merged into the firm in 2015.
John enjoys playing golf, traveling with his wife, and spending time with their four sons and grandchildren. He has been involved on the Christian Brothers Academy Board of Trustees for over 25 years, co-chairs their current capital campaign, and emcees their annual LaSallian Dinner and Auction. He also chairs the Finance Committee of St. Joseph’s Health and manages the annual bocce tournament at Festa Italiana Syracuse.
