As the Industry Leader, Public Sector & Not-for-Profit, Tom is responsible for business development, client/project acquisition, geographic expansion activities and determining how and where each of their industry clients is best serviced within our Public Sector & Not-for-Profit Industry. He is responsible for firm revenue and working collaboratively to optimize profitability as it relates to clients served in the Public Sector & Not-for-Profit Industry. By staying up to date on technical matters and business objectives affecting the Public Sector & Not-for-Profit Industry, Tom works to identify and fill training gaps and identify new service line opportunities for the firm.
In addition, Tom is the Regional Managing Partner for the Capital Region and Vermont Offices. His primary objective is to maintain our firm’s culture within the Capital Region. He has general oversight of practitioners and professionals within his geographic area, as well as attention to community initiatives and regional client activities. Tom works with the regional firm leaders to assist in people matters, he assists in ensuring active participation by all employees in mentoring programs, and ensures regional Partners are participating in firmwide, regional office and PROMISE team culture activities.
Furthermore, Tom is an Assurance Partner who has more than 25 years of experience auditing a variety of entities. Tom specializes in the audits of large closely held businesses, construction and real estate companies and labor unions.
Outside of work, Tom can be found spending time with his wife and two children. When his kids were small, he enjoyed coaching them in youth basketball and little league baseball. He has also served in the Albany community having served as past Trustee and Audit Committee Chair of Northern Rivers Family of Services and as past Treasurer of Ellis Hospital Foundation.
