Tim Doyle is a Consulting Partner in Bonadio’s Public Sector & Not-for-Profit Industry Group with more than 30 years of experience advising government, educational, and tax-exempt organizations. Throughout his career, Tim has partnered with counties, cities, towns, villages, public authorities, school districts, BOCES, community colleges, and not-for-profit organizations to help address complex financial, operational, and regulatory challenges.
Tim specializes in strategic financial planning, budget development, long-term financial forecasting, revenue optimization and diversification strategies, municipal accounting, and compliance with governmental accounting standards. He is widely recognized for helping organizations strengthen financial sustainability, improve operational effectiveness, and navigate evolving regulatory and reporting requirements while maintaining transparency and accountability to stakeholders. Drawing on decades of experience working with public sector leaders, Tim serves as a trusted advisor to governing boards, executive management teams, and finance officers on matters ranging from fiscal stress and long-range planning to organizational efficiency, financial resiliency, and the effective stewardship of public resources.
In addition to his client service responsibilities, Tim is a frequent presenter and author for several leading government and school business organizations, including the New York State Government Finance Officers’ Association (NYSGFOA), the New York State Association of Towns (NYS AOT), and the New York State Association of School Business Officials (NYSASBO). Through these organizations, he regularly shares insights on municipal finance, budget development, long-term financial planning, governmental accounting standards, governance, and emerging challenges facing public sector entities.
Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife, Christa, and maintaining an active lifestyle. An avid runner, he enjoys hiking and other outdoor pursuits throughout the region. Tim is also a longtime supporter of the performing arts and particularly enjoys attending musicals and theatrical productions at local and regional theaters.
